Wooden Animals

At Grove and Willow, we make the wooden toys ourselves right here in New Zealand! So much time, love and care goes into each wooden animal. The toys are handmade on a small scale and are never perfect. They’re made to be played with, but also make a very cute display in your child’s bedroom (imagine a sea or safari theme!) 

Our wooden animals are such versatile toys and learning tools. They are perfect for open ended play, and can provide hours of entertainment. 

This gorgeous animals come in a range of sizes and this is reflected in the price for each piece

Materials 

All Grove and Willow Wooden Animals are made from untreated NZ pine. 

They are carefully sanded and have smooth rounded edges. 

Each piece is individually handcrafted using natural wood therefore the unique wood grains and may vary slightly between items.

Paint and colour options

The available animals are painted, they are carefully hand painted by us and therefore some variation may occur between individual pieces. We believe that this adds to the character and shows that each piece is made, by hand, just for you! The paint we use is a New Zealand brand called "The Natural Paint Company", made from plants and natural ingredients. Warning 

General wear and tear is expected on wooden toys, if there is a breakage please ensure the toy is disposed of appropriately. Please also contact us if you do have a breakage so we are aware. Please note that this is not a teether and it is not designed to be used as a teething toy, parental supervision is required at all times. Although it is non-toxic and completely safe for your wee one, little teeth can cause damage to the paint or dent the wood. Please check your items before use and discard if they show any signs of damage during play. 

In general the toys are for age 3+ due to choking risks (parental consideration is advised) but ultimately this is down to your own discretion and we recommend children should always be supervised when playing with any toys.
